Hotel Hypnos

Welcome to Hotel Hypnos, our conversation series featuring influential industry insiders, sharing insights and opinions on hot-button topics relevant to those working in the hospitality and interior design industries.

Throughout the series we will cover a variety of subjects, from how the customer experience is evolving and how the industry should react, to the future of interior design within hotels and how hotels can adapt their marketing output to appeal to a more eco-conscious guest.

LATEST EPISODE - The Tawny

The third episode in the Hotel Hypnos series features an in-depth conversation between the Editor of Design Insider, Alys Bryan, and General Manager of The Tawny, Josh Chadwick, focusing on the hotel’s commitment to sustainability and guest wellbeing.

One of the core components of guest wellbeing at The Tawny is a restful night’s sleep. Offering “a stay like no other” as the UK’s first deconstructed hotel, The Tawny takes the best bits from a traditional luxury hotel experience and combines them with naturistic design to offer a stunning country escape. Amidst the restored wild garden of Consall Hall Estate, guests at The Tawny can enjoy a stroll through lakeside gardens and find peace in secluded fells, and immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings.

EPISODE TWO - The Other house

The second episode in the Hotel Hypnos series features an in-depth conversation with CEO of The Other House, Naomi Heaton, and her views on how the hospitality sector is evolving and changing. The Other House comprises unique hospitality venues combining distinctively designed Club Flats, beautiful spaces to eat and drink, and a Private Members’ Club with health and wellness facilities. The first outpost is located within historic buildings in London’s South Kensington with The Other House Covent Garden opening in late 2024, followed by Belgravia.

Naomi discusses how The Other House is breaking the mould of traditional hotel stays by offering something truly unique, which takes the form of your ‘other house’, where you can live your way for a night, a month or even a year - a concept she believes is the future of the hospitality industry.

EPISODE ONE - THE ROYAL LANCASTER

In episode one, Hotel Hypnos is delighted to welcome the wonderful Sally Beck, General Manager at The Royal Lancaster London.

Get a sneak peek into the day-to-day activities of a General Manager at one of London’s most prestigious hotels, as Sally discusses careers in the hospitality industry, sustainability, and why sleep remains at the core of a great guest experience.
