Working in an efficient and effective manner within the Keen & Able office you will be managing all routine areas of administration and compiling reports as requested by K&A office staff.

Warehouse Apprentice Vacancy

Keen and Able Delivery Ltd, Long Eaton, Derbyshire

Monday to Friday 07.00-16.30, min. £3.50 per hour

Working in a safe, careful and efficient manner within the Keen & Able Warehouse, you'll undertake a number of tasks including receipt, storage and dispatch of valuable beds and related goods under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Picking / Loading / unloading

  • Loading and unloading of product for storage, dispatch and transfer
  • Identifying and collating correct products for orders
  • Checking product when picking / loading to eliminate mispicks
  • Safe storage


  • Identifying and correctly labelling goods
  • Identifying issues and assisting resolution
  • Make recommendations to aid operational efficiency and add value
  • General Housekeeping and cleaning


  • Checking vehicles to ensure suitability for safe loading


  • Identifying and reporting on damage & quality issues
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of product at all times
  • Maintaining accurate stock records

Compliance / Health & Safety

Whitbread Account Assistant/Administrator

Hypnos Contract Beds, Castle Donington, Derbyshire

Full time, £15,000 per annum

  • Place ad-hoc orders arriving directly from the Premier Inn sites
  • Study drawings/matrices to build quotations, promptly and liaise with external project managers regards lead times/delivery constraints and requirements of the Hypnos team of installers when on site. Near the time of delivery, liaise with site managers for refurbishments and new builds. Alerting any internal departments immediately to any changes to the schedule – production/transport/installations
  • Chase Purchase orders and then later, debts
  • Maintain asset trackers for bed bases, mattresses, sofa beds and truckle beds
  • Dig into invoice issues to resolve in a timely manner
  • Constant liaising with Hypnos internal members – Ops Manager, head of mattresses, divans, transport, loading and installations
  • Co-ordinate projects with Whitbread and their sites
  • Handle daily ad-hoc queries / complaints from the Premier Inn sites
  • Implement any actions required directly from Whitbread
  • Deal with the day to day maintenance of a large account

Manufacturing/Production Apprentice

Hypnos Ltd, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire

We are looking for up to three keen & enthusiastic Manufacturing Apprentices to join the team in Princes Risborough. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience whilst working towards a Level 2 Performing Manufacturing Operations qualification.

Weekly wage: £180.48
Working week: Monday - Thursday 0800-16.30, ½ hour lunch and a morning break
Total hours per week: 32.00
Apprenticeship duration: 1 year

You will learn to:

  • Use a range of manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Assemble bed bases
  • Cut, sew and upholster mattresses
  • Fit mattresses to bed bases
