Quality Control Inspector

Hypnos Contract Beds Ltd, Castle Donington, Derby

This will involve cover on Night Shift, the shift pattern is likely to be Two weeks Days/One Week Nights but with flexibility to cover holidays and changes in workloads.

Role Requirements:

  • Product Inspections on all mattresses and divans
  • 100% checks on specialised products
  • Flagging fails to Team Leader
  • Producing Concern Countermeasure Reports on supplier issues
  • Producing fortnightly reports on issues and remedial actions
  • Attend weekly Team meetings to plan workload and participate in identifying process improvements
  • Health & Safety audits
  • Attending site Health & Safety Committee meetings

Individual requirements:

  • Able to work on own initiative whilst following procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can build a rapport quickly and demonstrate a collaborative approach to making improvements

Previous experience preferred but not essential as training will be given. Hourly wage £8.00+ based on experience.

Business Administration Apprentice Vacancy

Keen and Able Delivery Ltd, Long Eaton, Derbyshire

Monday to Friday 08.00-16.30, min. £3.50 per hour

Working in an efficient and effective manner within the Keen & Able office you will be managing all routine areas of administration and compiling reports as requested by K&A office staff.

Warehouse Apprentice Vacancy

Keen and Able Delivery Ltd, Long Eaton, Derbyshire

Monday to Friday 07.00-16.30, min. £3.50 per hour

Working in a safe, careful and efficient manner within the Keen & Able Warehouse, you'll undertake a number of tasks including receipt, storage and dispatch of valuable beds and related goods under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Picking / Loading / unloading

  • Loading and unloading of product for storage, dispatch and transfer
  • Identifying and collating correct products for orders
  • Checking product when picking / loading to eliminate mispicks
  • Safe storage

General

  • Identifying and correctly labelling goods
  • Identifying issues and assisting resolution
  • Make recommendations to aid operational efficiency and add value
  • General Housekeeping and cleaning

Vehicles

  • Checking vehicles to ensure suitability for safe loading

Stock

  • Identifying and reporting on damage & quality issues
  • Ensuring the safe handling and storage of product at all times
  • Maintaining accurate stock records

Compliance / Health & Safety

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Ensuring the Compliance of all procedures, rules and regulations

Manufacturing/Production Apprentice

Hypnos Ltd, Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire

We are looking for up to three keen & enthusiastic Manufacturing Apprentices to join the team in Princes Risborough. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience whilst working towards a Level 2 Performing Manufacturing Operations qualification.

Weekly wage: £180.48
Working week: Monday - Thursday 0800-16.30, ½ hour lunch and a morning break
Total hours per week: 32.00
Apprenticeship duration: 1 year

You will learn to:

  • Use a range of manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Assemble bed bases
  • Cut, sew and upholster mattresses
  • Fit mattresses to bed bases
