Chic and Boutique: Hypnos Leads the Way with its Stylish Hospitality Bed Solutions

At Hotel TORTUE - the newly-opened boutique hotel in Hamburg, Germany - Hypnos’ specialist hospitality team worked alongside Amsterdam-based Interior Designer, Kate Hume, to provide bespoke beds in each of the 126 rooms.
The hotel’s aim was to create an international flair that was cosy and modern at the same time, where guests could totally relax and find themselves in a world of their own.
Kate Hume – well known for her model apartments in the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg - was commissioned with the interior design of the rooms which comprised 114 bedrooms, eight suites and four long stay apartments.
Knowing that sleep is one of the key elements in delivering an exceptional guest experience, leading to repeat business and positive reviews for the hotelier, Kate recommended Hypnos as the hotel’s bed supplier.
Kate explained: “When designing the bedrooms, it was clear that luxury and comfort was paramount from the very onset. Due to the outstanding service and excellent products provided for many of my other design projects, I immediately knew that Hypnos Contract Beds was the right partner for this boutique hotel.”
The Hypnos beds were designed following several months of consultation to ensure that they exceeded the expectations of both Kate Hume’s interior design vision and that of the hotel owners.
Supremely comfortable, luxury pocket sprung mattresses in a Zip&Link configuration with removable deluxe toppers and waterproof mattress protectors were created.
The mattresses were supplied with Hypnos Contract Beds ClassicBaseTM bed bases with EasyLinkTM linking bars.The finishing touch for each bed was an elegantly curved, wall mounted Florence headboard in one of three stylish fabrics.
