Hypnos proudly brought its luxurious beds and the best of British craftsmanship to the Sleep Expo Middle East in Dubai on the 11th – 13th April. This international show took place for the first time in the region, bringing together new and established brands within the sleep and technology industries under one roof to provide an insight into the latest technologies, proven products, and to present their latest collections.

Awarded for its growth in International markets, and as a successful and market leading brand in the UK, Hypnos introduced its handcrafted British made pocket sprung mattresses to visitors, and explained the benefits of sleeping on natural and sustainable fillings. The company was also invited to take part in a panel discussion on the future direction of the sleep industry, where its contributions helped to prepare for the next World Expo taking place in Dubai in 2020.

At Hypnos we have always focused on hand crafting the finest beds, from the natural and sustainable materials which create the perfect environment for the body and mind to sleep, so we are one step ahead of this trend. However, it’s fantastic to see the new technologies and innovations from the other exhibitors.

Renowned for its approach to sustainability, Hypnos has an impressive roster of green initiatives and a comprehensive sustainability strategy that started some 10 years ago. Indeed, the company was the first carbon neutral bedmaker in the world and is the only bed manufacturer to have held this prestigious title for eight years, having offset a total of 6,820 tonnes of CO₂, including 736 tonnes in 2017/18 alone.

As part of its ethical responsibilities the company also uses a range of natural and sustainable fibres to manufacture its products, including eOlus^TM which are made from recycled plastic based bottles. Through this innovative sustainable fibre alone, Hypnos has re-used the equivalent of 165 million plastic bottles, which would have otherwise gone to landfill sites or into the world’s oceans.

It is these sustainable credentials, combined with its design flair and ability to make the most supremely comfortable beds, which has ensured Hypnos is the only bed maker to actively supply all of the British Royal residences including Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, St.James Palace, Balmoral Castle, Sandringham House, The Palace of Holyroodhouse and Kensington Palace.
