Hypnos Showcases Eden Project Mattress at HIX 2025
Hypnos will be at HIX, showing its new Eden Project Harmony Ortho, a mattress that supports hospitality guests with a firmer feel and the comfort of natural and renewable materials, including RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified British Wool, banana, orange, pineapple and cotton fibres.
Join us on the 26th at Stand No. 28 from 1:00 - 1:45 for a fast-paced LIVE Pillow Talk x Design insider conversation with Hypnos' David Baldry and Alys Bryan, from sleep and sustainability to global supply and guest experience, exploring how Hypnos continues to answer hospitality's toughest briefs.
As work and vacation cultures clash in the rise of the bleisure scene, the new Eden Project Harmony Ortho is the perfect mattress to bring guests the comfort expected and the support needed in these extended stays. Developed in collaboration with the environmental charity, this new mattress is handcrafted in Britain to provide a luxurious, breathable and hygienic mattress that supports the wellbeing of the planet and its people.
The
mattress will be displayed on a Hypnos contract specification bedframe upholstered in two of Emma J Shipley’s unmistakable fabrics from the Mythica Collection, where curious creatures and the beauty of the natural world are celebrated, inspired by a recent trip to Costa Rica. This best of British partnership can also be found elsewhere on the stand: flooring from Amtico, a rug from Ulster Carpets, wallcoverings from Newmor and lighting from Buster & Punch; the Hypnos stand will show how great British design companies can support hotels in a unique approach to designing beautiful spaces.
Around the world, Hypnos mattresses bring hotel guests a tailored sleep experience that enhances their stay. From the world’s largest international hotel groups to independent hotels, serviced apartments, members clubs and more, Hypnos works with each to find the perfect support and comfort for guests in a mattress that brings quality and longevity.
This September, Hypnos proudly announced it has become Planet Mark Certified - Net Zero Committed. This sees the bedmaker commit to achieving net zero by 2040, and its near term targets by 2033. Guided by its certification partner, Planet Mark, the team at Hypnos will follow a pathway to significantly reducing its carbon emissions through targets that align with the principles of the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) Corporate Net Zero Standard.
David Baldry, managing director, Hypnos, “Comfort with integrity for the wellbeing of the people and the planet is at the heart of what we do. This year though, there have been some notable and special milestones, including announcing that we’re one of the first UK manufacturers to sign-up to be Planet Mark Certified - Net Zero Committed, setting new industry standards.
“We also aim to support our hoteliers achieve their own sustainability goals, which is why we’ve introduced a wider range with natural, certified and recyclable materials, enhanced partnerships with The Woolkeepers and Eden Project; offer a recycling programme for hoteliers to keep mattresses out of landfill; and deliver using our solely electric and biodiesel distribution fleet.”
