Panel Talk: Designing for a New Era of Stay

Hospitality has never been defined by a single model and has always innovated to meet demand. Longer stays, slower travel, more autonomy and spaces that feel personal - the sector has evolved to blend work and leisure with interiors that feel residential without compromising service or quality.
That evolving
landscape was at the heart of ‘Designing for a New Era of Stay’, a live panel discussion hosted by four leading members of Commercial Interiors UK, including Hypnos Beds. Brought together some of the sector’s leading voices, the discussion explored how branded residences, serviced apartments and longer-stay concepts are influencing design decisions, material choices and the overall guest experience.
Hosted by Alys Bryan at the Ulster Carpets London Showroom on Tuesday 19th May, the event welcomed a fantastic turnout from across the hospitality and interiors sectors. The atmosphere throughout the evening was warm, relaxed and full of conversation, reflecting just how relevant and timely the discussion has become within the industry.
The panel featured an exceptional line-up of experts, including Sophie Borel from Cheval Collection, Kalindi Juneja from PoB Hotels, Joanna K. of JK. Interiors and Arun Rana from Accor. Together, they shared valuable insight into how hospitality is evolving far beyond the traditional hotel model, with guests now seeking spaces that feel flexible, lived-in and deeply connected to lifestyle.

Following the panel, guests were invited to stay for food and drinks, creating a relaxed environment to continue the conversation and connect with peers from across the industry.
